Amber has been a part of the family team for over 7 years and is experienced in all areas of family law, specialising in cases relating to children and domestic abuse. Amber prides herself in taking an empathic approach towards clients who face a potentially life-changing legal process.
The particular areas of work undertaken by Amber are:
- Private Law Children Proceedings including applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders.
- Fact-finding Hearings.
- Non-Molestation and Occupation applications.
- Special Guardianship applications.
- Care and Supervision proceedings before the Family Court.
- Emergency Protection (EPO) applications.
Amber understands the significant anxiety and distress experienced by parents whilst engaged in proceedings before the Family Court. She has a wide experience in dealing with complex cases involving factors such as mental health, domestic abuse, child abuse and substance misuse. Amber will go the extra mile to take a child-focused approach, appreciating a client’s background, concerns, thoughts and feelings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the case. In doing so, she can provide clear and realistic advice and guidance thereby allowing her to achieve the best possible outcome for her client.
Amber has personal experience and therefore a particular interest in dealing with cases involving additional or specific needs of children. This may be neurodivergence such as Autism and ADHD or other specific emotional or physical needs. Amber is passionate about reaching the right conclusion for each and every case, with the child’s welfare always at the centre of any legal decision.
Outside of the Office
In her spare time, Amber enjoys dancing and operates a number of local dance classes for children aged 4 – 18 in a range of genres such as ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre. Amber also enjoys spending time with her family and living by the seaside.
