Training Contracts

We are committed to the development of future legal talent and value our trainees as part of our team. Here are the two options available for Graduates to join our team.

Training Contracts

We normally recruit 2 trainee solicitors a year on a training contract starting in September. Applications are accepted during the June and July, just over two years before the start date.   You’ll join us after completing your Legal Practice Course and your training contract will focus on developing your hands on experience across our different specialist areas. We’ll support you in deciding which direction you’d like to take your career with us.

We make it a priority to ensure you’re well looked after during your training. Our proven track record of retaining our qualified trainees reflects this. Many of our partners initially joined us as a trainee.

All our trainees have received their Practising Certificates and we have enjoyed celebrating their success with them.

Apprentice Solicitors

An alternative route to our training contract is the opportunity to join us as an Apprentice Solicitor. This is a great opportunity for graduates to start paid qualifying work experience at the same time as continuing your legal studies.

As an Apprentice Solicitor, you’ll undertake a structured course of study with a recognised training provider one day a week. Preparation for, and completion of, the SQE assessment is part of the apprenticeship. We support all our staff to develop their skills and experience while they’re with us and have regular conversations about how personal development plans can fit with our Strategic Plan.

We have supported a number of staff to progress as a Paralegal, many achieving a Cilex qualification.
