We’re delighted to announce that Rob Kelly has been accepted as a full member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), the leading organisation for legal professionals specialising in contentious trust and probate matters.

What is ACTAPS and why does it matter?

Established in 1997, ACTAPS is the foremost body for lawyers who focus on resolving disputes related to trusts and probate. Membership is widely regarded as a mark of excellence in this complex and highly specialised area of law.

To achieve this accreditation, Rob successfully completed a rigorous two-year ACTAPS training course which is run in collaboration with the University of Law. This comprehensive programme, which involves a combination of distance learning and in-person study sessions at the University’s London Bloomsbury campus, is designed to enhance expertise in areas such as disputes involving wills, trusts, and estate administration.

A recognised expert in Dorset

Rob’s achievement places him among a select group of practitioners in Dorset who are formally recognised as experts in this growing area of law. He regularly collaborates with Laceys’ Wills, Probate, Trust and Tax team to advise on and resolve disputes involving wills, inheritance, trusts, trustee duties, and estate administration.

Speaking about his membership, Rob shared:
