For many individuals a dispute works its way into every aspect of their life, causing no end of stress and worry. It can make both home and working life more difficult and in turn have an impact on personal relationships and health. We recognise the importance of helping people to find solutions to the problem quickly and at minimal cost and this is where the option of mediation can help.
Aside from being quicker and more cost effective, civil mediation is increasingly acknowledged as being a better way forward for people to resolve a dispute. Unlike litigation, which can be unpredictable, time consuming and costly, mediation can resolve a dispute with certainty, quickly and at a fraction of the cost.
Disputes can arise out of all sorts of relationships and situations. Cases suitable for mediation could involve boundary disputes, contested probate, faulty goods, a problem with a service provided by someone, a dispute with a local authority over care home fees, to name but a few.

Contentious wills, probate and trusts
More than half of Rob’s time is spent dealing with the contentious aspects of wills, probate and trusts, an area in which he has practiced continuously for over 20 years. He advises and acts in disputes relating to wills and inheritance, trusts, the duties of trustees and personal representatives, and the administration of estate.

He offers a common sense, realistic approach to assist his clients in searching for solutions to their disputes and brings straight talking and integrity to his work.
Rob is a Solicitor. He successfully completed training as a mediator under the ADR Chambers / Harvard Law Project Scheme in June 2006 and is a member of the Civil Mediation Council.
