ONLES recent purchase of The Boardroom, supported by Laceys Solicitors, will be a welcome relief for many businesses concerned about how they can maintain work relationships or build new ones through Covid-19.

With both parties keen to proceed with the transaction despite Covid-19, Laceys guided their client through the process and managed to conclude the deal even in the restrictive circumstances of lockdown.

Founded by James and Kelly West in 2018, ONLE Networking is already a well-established professional networking organisation with 20 core groups across the South Coast. The purchase of The Boardroom’s network and business advisory boards has kick started ONLE’s peer board branch, now known as ‘The ONLE Boardroom’ and is expected to prove a worthwhile addition to the range of services ONLE offers.

ONLE had made impressive progress in the field of virtual networking and was well-prepared for the world to move online, much before Covid-19 reared its head. It already has an online-only network, ‘ONLE Online’, and has now moved its other 18 meeting groups online as well. These are well-attended by the members and considered a fantastic support particularly during these difficult times.

We look forward to continuing to advise and support ONLE with any future acquisitions that will further expand and complement the networking opportunities and educational collaborations offered to their members.

The purchase was overseen by Laceys’ corporate and employment law specialist, Ella Gould.

Speaking of Ella Gould’s advice, Kelly West said: “We were concerned completion would get delayed due to the current circumstances, but Laceys took control of the matter and proved legalities can still be done, you just need to have a little extra resourcefulness, diligence and patience along the way! We have instructed Ella on various corporate matters and continue to be very pleased with the reliable and proactive service provided.”

Laceys are continuing to advise businesses and their owners in a variety of sectors during these more difficult times. If you would like to discuss the potential or agreed sale or purchase of a business with us, please contact Sam Freeman on 01202 205040 or email s.freeman@laceyssolicitors.co.uk
