This past year has shown, more than ever, how important it is for us to look after our own, and others’, wellbeing. In recognition of this, Laceys has now signed up to the ‘Mindful Employer Charter’. This demonstrates our commitment to working towards better mental health in the workplace. It will also enable us to access valuable information and support to improve our health and wellbeing offer. Watch this space.

Some of us have been working from home for a long time. Now’s a good opportunity to remind ourselves about how to take care of our health and wellbeing. Every member of staff now has access to a video course on IMPROVE about mental health awareness when working from home. Put the kettle on and take a break – this bite-sized course is just a 10 minute watch and is a useful reminder for office based staff too.

Think you’re doing OK but want to understand how to identify and recognise your personal stressors? Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) explain how to do this simply and visually in their brief animation describing how to use your ‘Stress Container’.

Have you downloaded the ‘WeCareProgramme’ app from the App Store or Google Play yet? Simply create your profile and enter Lacey’s unique access code: CAN05587-180935 to start making the most of health, wellbeing and healthy living support. This service includes (among others) 24/7 GP consultation for you and your family; access to support if you want to quit smoking and support from a team of nutritionists if your goal is to improve your diet. Find our more.

Concerned about your own or a colleagues’ wellbeing? Don’t forget our HR Manager is also a Mental Health First Aider and always happy to have a confidential conversation.

Let’s look out for each other.

Sarah is our HR manager, looking after our people from before they even start with us, until they move on. Having worked in a number of different sectors, Sarah’s been in HR for almost 20 years.

A Chartered Member of the CIPD, Sarah keeps up to date with what’s important to our business and enjoys making sure we get the best from everyone – as well as being a calm voice of reason.

Out of the office, Sarah loves spending time with her family, which includes an energetic spaniel and a small flock of chickens. Mini-breaks keep her motivated and she enjoys finding special places to stay from tree-houses to safari parks.
