Laceys Licensing team wins ‘Best Support to the Event Industry’ at NOEA National Awards

The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) held their annual convention and awards on Wednesday 23th November at The Pump Rooms and Roman Baths in Bath.
It was the convention’s first return to a live format since pre-pandemic, with industry experts delivering insight and education into the new standards and values that events are looking to follow in 2023 and beyond. As part of this, Philip Day, one of Laceys licensing experts, featured in a live session during the day alongside other industry experts, recreating a modern-day SAG (Safety Advisory Group).
Onto the evening, Laceys were honoured to win the award for ‘Best Support to the Event Industry’ at the awards, the judges’ summed up their decision to give Laceys the award with the following words;
“The judges felt Laceys Solicitors have been vital to so many companies during the pandemic. As a business they provided counsel and advice to customers, the industry and government. Often at their own expense. Over the years Laceys have been a great supporter to the industry. Congratulations.”
We would also like to mention Brendan Herbert, who is both a Licensing Specialist at Laceys and Event Organiser, and had his festival 2000 Trees shorlisted in 3 categories at the awards but sadly missed out on a win.

Sam joined Laceys back in 2015 to help look after the marketing for the firm. Her role includes managing branding, website content, events, advertising and social media for Laceys.
Before joining Laceys Sam worked for over 10 years in several marketing agencies in London, managing client projects across different sectors, ranging from Coca Cola to the Department of Health. Having grown up in Poole herself, Sam and her family took the decision to move back to the South Coast a few years ago to bring up their young children.
Outside of work, Sam is a keen racquetball and tennis player and getting out on her bike to the Purbecks when time allows. She is also partial to a good glass of wine and dance when the opportunity arises!
